Springfield 9/11 Ceremony 2025
As part of Springfield’s September 11th Remembrance Ceremony at Riverfront Park, our team had the honor of laying a wreath in the Connecticut River in tribute to the fallen firefighters, police officers, EMTs and members of the armed forces who gave their lives in service during the tragic events of September 11, 2001.
Holiday Arrangements
Working with local Veteran Service Officers, homebound veterans are identified and sent handcrafted holiday arrangements filled with cards and special treats that remind them they haven’t been forgotten.

Memorial Day Water Luminaries Ceremony remembering all those that have served.
Care Packages
Working with students from surrounding area schools' students age 10-18 yrs, along with The Young Marines created cards of gratitude that were placed in our CARE packages. These CARE packages were delivered to veterans in hospitals and homebound vets.

Honor Flight Thank You Cards
VDBUSA is dedicated to remembering senior veterans fortunate enough to visit the monuments in Washington, DC via Honor Flight. On their return flight home "Mail Call" is announced. Each veteran receives a packet of cards and letters expressing appreciation and gratitude. It is a nostalgic throwback to when these veterans were deployed and treasured a hand written letter from home. At our races and all outreach events, we have Honor Flight cards available for the public to sign and express their gratitude.
Honoring The "22"
Each team member carries the name of a soldier on the back of their PFD who was profoundly affected by PTSD, and now we honor their service and sacrifice by carrying their memory with us through every practice and across every race finish line.
